Hello from Rob

Hello friends,

I do not come to forums often, so if anyone has a question for me, they can e-mail me at;

I don't get much spare time and he covid restrictions have made it even harder for me to keep things running smoothly because my gigs, sessions and workshops have dried up. I am mostly teaching online these days, which is fine with me because I don't have to leave my house if I don't feel like it.

I hope everyone is doing well,

I'm brand new here but have been using your YouTube Old Joe Clark lessons for the past few days. I just wanted to say thank you for all you've shared. I'm a college professor trying to learn banjo at the ripe old age of 54. Your teaching style is the best I've found online!

My daughter liked that you worked with Josh Drake and would like to know what cd or songs did you record. She wants to hear the songs and buy them

Thank you Rob for all your time spent helping slow pokes like me, to learn Cripple Creek the way you play it. I love it

I know this is a long shot,, but Rob I bought my first instrument in April of last year, for my 55th birthday, with intentions of learning someth8ng I have always loved, a Banjo. I found your lesson on Cripple Creek, and LOVE your style of playing and that version.
Here is the long shot,, being able to even reach you, and asking if you have a lesson on Ballad of Jed Clampett. Im working on Foggy Mountain Breakdown,,, ( not very good at it though).
My dream is to learn Jed Clampett and Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Your lessons are so nice and easy to follow. Would you, could you, Please, help give your advice on Jed Clampett?
I LOVE your music, and your personality. Woild love to meet you one day.
Thanks for your lessons. Your the best.

Glad to help, Professor Shelton. I'm 54, so I would say, it's not too late. I do a lot of new things and it seems to be easier now than it was in my 40s when I was working myself to death. Slowing down has its advantages.

Sorry, Barry, no Ballad of Jed Clampett. Maybe some year. If I get a spare minute.
