We hope that a number of you were able to join us at the 18th annual Charlie Poole Music Festival as we presented John McEuen our Lifetime Achievement Award. If you didn't make it, I urge you to seek out John McEuen and enjoy a live performance by this legendary performer. His giving heart and treasury of stories are as great as his tremendous talent. And, of course, you should now mark your calendars for next year's festival - June 13-14, 2014 - it pays to plan ahead! Start practicing that 3-finger banjo - our grand prize winner this year was Tom Mylet of Winston-Salem, NC. If you haven't mastered the old-time 3 finger style just yet, we also have categories in clawhammer and bluegrass style, plus multiple other categories in instruments and vocals.
