No, not me.
We all have one. We hide them in the back of the drawer. We bring them out when we need comforting. They are: our favorite worn out jeans.
And mine are tissue-thin, frayed around the edges, paler then a robin's egg, softer than babyskin. They are stretched in the right places, and there are no holes in them, but there are proto-holes. I know that any day now, either the backside or the knees will finally wear all the way through, and they will no longer be wearable.
I saw the first bit of real wear on my banjo head today.
See where I am going with this?

OK, so you got a little wear. It will probably last the rest of your life.
Oh yeah! My jeans did wear through and my wife made me throw them away. She said nobody wanted to see that part of a 66 year old man. Oh well!!

The head will continue to look more and more worn, but won't ever break from simple wear unless you either practice like a maniac or develop some radical new way of playing. I've seen many 30 year old heads that looked terrible but were hangin in just fine.
