What a great weekend I just had, listening, learning and pickin' at Banjo Camp North. I will definitely be a repeat customer. It was wonderful to have the chance to meet and learn from players such as Howie Bursen, Steve Arkin, Riley Baugus, and Martin Grosswendt -- and hangout with them, and play in jams with them. What fun! Lessons learned? Bring an audio recorder, which becomes your auxiliary memory when your regular memory/brain is overloaded with cool new things; there are lots of people who love old-time music as much as you do; and they are fun to hang out with.
It sounds like a mid-september Banjo Camp North is in the planning stages. If you are in the general northeastern area (although we had a couple of Europeans in the crowd) and like banjo -- bluegrass, old-time or something in between -- come join the fun.
