A Neckville STory

Posted by gusmac on Saturday, May 18, 2013

A little story - way back in 2003 I was touring the USA with my band and was invited to meet Tom Nechville at his banjo workshop in Bloomington, outside Minneapolis. He was incredibly hospitable and I got the chance to experience his amazingly innovative and fine sounding Nechville banjos. I ended up buying one on the spot, and it's been my favorite instrument ever since.  I realised later he has made them for people like Bela Fleck, The Dixie Chicks, Steve Martin, Noam Pieklny and Alison Brown, to name a few.

Anyway, you can check out the full story at www.nechville.com .

Tom and I have stayed in touch and I'm excited to announce that 10 years later I've become the Australian distributor for Nechville banjos and naturally I cannot recommend them highly enough. I now own two, and have sold quite a few to students of mine, all of which have been exceptional quality.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to come play one (I'm in Melbourne, btw).

Also I am able to give discounts that will make them cheaper than any you will find on the internet.

All the best.

Gus Macmillan.

I bought a Nechville Orion from Gus recently and it is fantastic. The service he provided was wonderful.
