I have just attempted for the first time to try and improve the sound on my Cort 35B. I just want to say thanks to all who have commented on different topics thats enabled me to pick out the info I wanted and put it to good use in what I think is a vast improvement in the tone and volumn of my banjo.
I changed the head from a Remo to a 5 star and changed the strings to Gibson Earl Scruggs Signature light gauge and was amazed at the what I think is a vast improvement. . I also fitted a Grover bridge with bone inserts.
