Our son - A Marine now.....

Our oldest boy just graduated from MCRD San Diego. My wife and I are so proud of him. In a month he is off to Florida for schooling for a year. We have not heard yet what exactly he will be doing other than aircraft support/maintenance. Just seems like yesterday that he was a boy playing Little League and going to a Cub Scout meeting. Now he stands almost a foot taller and makes one fine image in his uniform. Never new how proud I would be.

Congrats to your son! Not everyone can become a Marine; that title must be earned and it is no cakewalk. There are numerous Marines here on the Hangout. Semper Fidelis.

I can tell ya that he made a good choice in carrier field starting with the Marine Corps. I have been an aircraft mechanic for 25 years and there is always work out there. Sometime you have to go to where it is happening, but none the less very secure career. You have a great son there good job!!
