The hobo-themed Ken Le Van banjo will be arriving shortly. I'm due to collect it on the 22nd Dec - this is going to be a great Xmas!
It's been a great experience working with Ken - you don't just buy an off-the-peg banjo, it's a truly collaborative project. He sent me photos and updates every step of the way, checked out every detail and was really into sharing ideas. I have learned a lot about the mysterious art of banjo building through this project (I now know what a volute is!). I would highly recommend working with Ken - he offers something very unique.
I have heard Banjo Acquisition Syndrome is pretty incurable and I was worried I might have contracted it (via the Hangout or possibly Youtube). However, I don't think any banjo will be able to match this one. So maybe I have found the cure for B.A.S!
