This is a nice goat hide. I've been saving it for just the right project. The thickness is ideal and I love the natural (unstained) color. It has a stiff texture too...should sound great.

You did great John. I left a comment on your thread but want to say here that this head will match perfectly with the banjo being built by Lee Sproull. You know how much I like Lee's #5 woody and a big part of getting the power from a great banjo is the right head. Thanks for stretching this one for me. David E.

Looks great John. I was visiting Jason Burns Friday and looked at the head you sent for David, great skin and a fine job.
