I just updated my web site and added some images of my latest batch of banjos, which includes my first foray into "Extreme Banjo Making" with a walnut banjo that has a 3 1/2" deep pot and a Tubaphone tone ring. Not only does it produce a powerful sound but it is highly ornamented, bordering on Presentation grade. You can also see my first A-Scale, a classy maple banjo with nice tastefull engraved ornaments, and banjo with a whimsical vine and flower design covering the entire fretboard and peghead. I hope you like them!

Can you post some close-up pics of the inlays on that Fairbanks-y tubaphone? BEAUTIFUL work on all the new batch, but that one sparkles!

Great idea! - I'll add some more pictures to my Banjo Hangout page. I agree that there weren't enough pictures on the website - there just was't room.

I hope this doesn't sound patronizing (since I think your banjos have been works of art since day 1) but your engraving has improved so intensely. It's a joy to check it out!

Thanks! I've really been working on my engraving lately. I was lucky enough to visit Doug Unger last fall, and what I learned from him really opened up a whole new world. Also, I'm really looking forward to taking Kevin Enoch's engraving class in July.

Nice! Doug is making me a Chubby Dragon neck right now and it's scary how talented that guy is. I'm sure you'll have tons of fun with Kevin too. I'm psyched to hear you're doing all that - we need some builders of this generation to take over from the old masters!

I agree with you about how talented he is, and the more I study his work the more impressed I become. You're a lucky guy to have one of his creations...especially a Chubby Dragon!

Another batch of fabulous banjos Greg! I would love to hear some sound samples of that tubaphone.
