I play praise church music every Sunday at 3 locations. My home church, St, Andrews where I play in a group of: 2-3 guitars, a bass, Piano, 3 singers and my self where I play melody or counter melody ( what I hear in the chord patterns). The Woman's prison where I usually lead the singing and play chords to gospel and praise music, if the 5 string player comes and leads the singing I back him up with an electric bass ( some times I use a Gold tone Bas banjo). 1,3rd Sunday I play at a little episcopal church that is a delight and I often get them up dancing to (slave tradition old old gospel "spirit songs")
My secular attachment is with the Tacoma banjo club. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002083164214&ref=ts&sk=wall
We play in retirement homes and some civic events 3 or so engagements a week. I am a back sete new bee, Even though I have been there 6 years. They have pushed my techneque a lot. The music is at least 60 years old jazz, swing, big band.
All of these volunteer.

Super cool gig with my wife at the church fair. She and I sung and I played Baritone ukulele, tenor banjo, and guitar. The gig had 3 sets: love songs, patriotic songs, gospel hums. Well received. She has a beautiful voice that blends well with me.
