Really enjoyed the different versions of John Hardy in Janet Davis' book. The 3rd one she introduces "up the neck" beginnings (I must upload my effort). This caused me to start fiddling seemingly endlessly with my Deering, trying to get the action better but with no fret buzz. Got that to my liking then heard two local guys playing with a great tone and new heads. That lead to examing mine which was only finger tight.. Now I've put the old Deering bridge back on, tensioned up the head and am back fiddling with the action again.. My guitar was never like this. Complicated things banjos. Anyway, I'm back into trying to make some more headway through the book. This weeks effort, Lonesome Road Blues:

126bpm and a bit messy.
