Don't know about others out there, but I've just had a new experience with the banjo. I've just come through the banjo wilderness. After 2 odd years of playing I was becoming bored, and I didn't know how to re excite the enthusiasm that I had when I first started. So I just gave it a rest, simple as that. I didn't impose any pressure on myself re practice etc., just picked it up when I felt like it, or not at all. Best thing I could have ever done, because now the old drive is back, and most importantly, I making music, not sounds again. (not very good music I might add, but I like it anyway). It probably took 6 weeks, but now it feels great, and I'm back annoying the neighbours and family with songs they probably can't even recognise, but I don't care because I like it enough for all of us!!!!
