Well, me and the Mrs. have arrived safely at home after a week at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The weather was good but the fishing wasn't so hot. Still, we had a good time. Frankly, I could have stood another week.
We stayed at a rental house in Frisco and had a secluded 2 acre lot right on the sound . The Sunsets were amazing! I took my banjo but I was afraid to take it out of the case for fear of salt water corrosion.
When I got back home, My son had returned my Fender Leo banjo. When I took it out of the case, it tuned right up and held tuning and played great. Much better than I remember it sounding. My son has had the banjo for nearly five years and everytime I'd ask about it, he would agree to bring it back and then quickly forget about it. It was a nice reunion with an old friend. I'm not sure how old it is. I am sure that it is older than my 25 year old son. Theresa says I bought it new in 79. but I think I bought it in 81.
While I was away, Polly and Allison, my two hounds, misbehaved badly.
Well, it's good to be back!
