Don't kill yourself Eddie, take a break and give your body a rest. Go have a few beers and relax. Sometime it is good to takes breaks from the banjo. Good luck and have fun.

When I started learning to play I would play till my fingers started bleeding. Don't worry it is part of the learning curve sounds like you are well on your way to getting calluses hang in there I believe you are about to go to the next level. Keep putting in the time and paying those dues that is how you become a great player. Try putting on a wrist band it will help since you are lacking an armrest. Hope this info helps buddy. Keep on picking.
