No more Cinci trips.

Posted by clawfootcurt on Wednesday, June 6, 2007

The reason I was going has been taken away.  My mom passed away May 20th, 3 days after he 69th birthday.  She died of cancer.  I had blogged about going to visit her earlier.  She really like the banjo playing.

Although we knew she was sick, we all expected a recovery, so it has been a little hard to take.  I am just glad that I had made it a point to go visit with her a couple of times over the last 8 weeks.

One quick story about my Mom.....Before Christmas this year, she and my sister were shopping and as usual, she was trying to make friends with the cashier.  (she was really a people person)  Anyway, it came out that the cashier wasn't thinking Christmas would be too good at her house this year as she had no money for presents.  After checkout, My Mom went to the ATM, took out $100, put it into a plain white envelope with no name or address, went through that cashiers line again, handed it to her and left.  That was my Mom!!

She is sorely missed.

Thinking of you and your family, Curt.  Your mother sounds like a wonderful woman, and I know you have many sweet memories to keep forever.

Very sorry for your loss Curt,  Sounds like she was a very special lady.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
