Still banging on the Perlman book, but haven't gotten very far, I must say. Just starting to be able to play Georgie Buck ok. I am taking a short break from Perlman though with a foray into drop thumb. I've been doing a drop thumb exercise so that it wouldn't totally feel alien to me when I got around to trying to learn something with some drop thumb in it. And I picked up R. D. Lunceford's book and CD from Elderly back when I first got the bug. It was just a tad too advanced for me so I put it aside til now. One of the cool things is to finally do something that isn't in G. I am trying to learn Old Mother Logo on the count of I like the modal sounding music best of all I think. I am really diggin aDADE, It just sounds cool. It's a bit weird playing with the capo though, finger sometimes bashes into on the way to the first fret. I'll manage I'm sure. Still kicking, still having fun with it. Wishing a good year ahead for everyone.
