Today, I was accepted into East Tennessee State University's very own Bluegrass, Old-Time & Country Music program. Big thank you to everyone who has made this possible, or even plausible, and for all the advice, support, encouragement, motivation and inspiration you all have given me along the way (to name a few): Richie Dotson, Wes Lassiter, Tony Trischka, Béla Fleck, Bill Evans, Greg Earnest, Mark and Hayden Bramlett, the guys down at banjo.com, John Lawless, Tony Ellis and Daniel Boner. Also, to all my family & friends who helped to encourage me and gave me a little extra motivation to make this happen, I love you guys. I am excited to keep on picking here in Johnson City and evolving into the man that I am to be.
take care and be safe,
Jacob

That's great news! My Alma Mater is just down the road from ETSU: Milligan College. Soak up everything you can, the time will go quickly. That is a beautiful region of TN.

That is great Jacob, you are now in my neck of the woods, you will have to come out to some of the jams around in upper east Tenn, and southwest Virginia. Good luck at ETSU, it's a great program.

Thanks guys, will do! I'm really enjoying it here, I'll make it up north for some jams as soon as I can, gas money is a little tight these days. And I met Will Parsons the other day, he's a cool guy. We're going to pick some soon, hopefully I will be able to soak everything in
