I went to see Doc Watson and David Holt in Madison, WI back on May 19th. I waited so long to get tickets that I ended up in the 3rd balcony. I thought I was gonna get a nosebleed. Seriously, some of the people up there were hanging onto the railing afraid to be up that high. Well, needless to say, my wife and I thought it was a wondeful show. I wish I wouldn't have been dumb about not ordering tickets months ago so we could be closer to the stage. My wife wants to learn how to play the "bones", after seeing David perform with them. At one point, David asked how many guitar players were in the crowd, and the cheers were pretty loud. Then he asked how many clawhammer banjo players were there. There was a lot less cheering, maybe 15 people. I wish there would have been more banjo playing, but it was quite a show anyway.

Curt, I saw them about a year ago in a very small theater. Wonderful show, and they signed autographs in the lobby afterwards. I marvel at how two men can sound like a whole band!
