Hi again everyone,
It's time for another BHO Online Workshop, coming up Sunday, November 13th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This time around, I'll be offering something for intermediate to advanced players. If you're already familiar with basic back-up techniques (such as the "In The Mood" up the neck lick; D position up the neck backup and forward roll backup), we'll take those techniques and combine them, add some great sounding licks and also explore fiddle tune, blues-oriented and slow song backup. It's a great way to take your back up playing to the next level. And don't forget you can record the session for later viewing, ask questions during the workshop and you'll have tab examples from just about everything we cover.
I hope to see you! You can register by linking to: http://www.banjohangout.org/lessons/workshops/
All the best,
Bill Evans

And here's the blurb from the BHO group workshop page:
Join Banjo For Dummies author and world-renowned teacher and player Bill Evans for another “hands on and let’s play” workshop designed to take your basic backup techniques to the next level! This new session is designed for students who are already familiar with forward roll down-the-neck backup and up-the-neck backup techniques (like the “In the Mood” roll and D-shaped licks) and are ready to progress to more advanced techniques and strategies using fill-in licks and target tones. Bill will discuss advanced vamping techniques, the “Six White Horses” and “Salty Dog Blues” back-up licks, Earl’s famous “jump up” lick and backup in ¾ time and for fiddle tunes in G and D. If you’ve enjoyed Bill’s previous backup sessions, this is the next session for you! Tab examples will be emailed before the session and you can capture the entire workshop on video for later use.
