Need SS Stewart authority and neck builder/guru. I recently acquired an SS Stewart Universal Favorite c. 1899. It was originally a 5 string but the neck was shaved down and converted to a plectrum. All the inlays are intact except for the dots at the 7th fret. Also non original neck adjuster. I'd like to restore the banjo rather than part it out. Can the original inlays be used in a new neck? Does it sound economically feasible or would I have too much in it? Any help / input greatly appreciated.
