Pete Martin, who is just a great mandolin and fiddle player as well as teacher put up some videos on You Tube of a band we were in called The Skyline Drifters. This was back in the mid 80's and was taken from a performance aired on the Nashville Networks bluegrass show called Fire on the Mountain. The band was from Seattle, Washington. I had seen the show a couple of times and just on a whim sent our promo pack to them. Lo and behold, they sent us back a contract and plane tickets. We went out to Maggie Valley, NC and were the guests on the show that was hosted by David Holt.
It was really a great experience for us and we were well received even though at the time we were a little different than the other bluegrass bands that usually were on that show.
Here is a link to Banjo Nova, and when it takes you to You Tube you can see some of the other songs Pete has posted to You Tube for the Skyline Drifters. I believe Banjo Nova was written by Larry Mc Neely.
