Well I got a questions..For years I've tuned my banjo in G modal..which I like and I was told years ago that its the same as sawmill tuning. The other day a friend told me that sawmill tuning was Not the same as G modal. Can anyone shed some light on this??

G modal and Sawmill are the same. Not sure why your friend would make that statement.

You got him Cathy. Sounds like you are way ahead of him in banjo experience. You'll have a lot of fun messin' with his mind!!
