Dear Florida Folk Friends,
As you know by now the Florida Folk Festival has been canceled this weekend. Many people are planning events around the state in order to share time with friends and to commemorate the Folk Festival. I was scheduled to MC the Amphitheater stage on Saturday night as I have for several years. In that capacity as MC I would like to ask you to do something. On Saturday at precisely 10:00PM Eastern time, please sing and play Will McClean's song "Hold Back The Waters". That would be about the time the last act would go on. In this way, for a few moments, we can all be together in spirit and celebrate this land of flowers and it's wonderful people.
Please share this with others so we can have as many people as we can to come together in this folk event.

Yes Wayne we'll sing this--but why this particular tune? Actually it'd be better to let a little of that water loose on these wildfires.
