I sure can't find any elixir banjo strings..I have some on back order but they emailed me and said they have no idea when they'll be in!!Is there another brand thats comparable to Elixir??Thanks for the info

Try the cryogenic strings from American Made Banjo. They last as long if not longer than Elixirs, they sound just great, and they will make you a custom guage set it you want.

I have them on back order thru Janet Davis..elderly sells them but they are out of stock right now with no answer when they'll be in stock..I may go and get another brand and eventually get some elixirs when they come in..but thank you a bunch for the links...I'll be saving them..

Are these for your open back? If so, ever consider nylon? That's mostly what I use. I like the mellow sound and feel.

Yes it is for my open back.And no I haven't used nylon before.I don't know anything about them.But I have heard they give a neat sound.What are the better brands ..or does it matter...??

Well my elixir strings finally came in..Got an email today and they have been shipped!! glad to hear this cause my banjo really needs em..Thanks for all the comments..
