Hope to make it to 56 years...I dunno I am 37 years old so that will make me 93 years old when I get there...hopefully by then medical advances and technology will be so far advanced...I will make it.

A year and a half for me. When I hear you play, Jim, I've no doubt you have been playing that long. Love hearing you play.

A little over 20 for me -- started in '70s, quit and came back in the '90s and never quit again.

Well, 55 years for me. I found out I had a bad dose of arthritis and laid off for almost 7 or 10 years and when I came back to it I found out that you shouldnt quit. When I got re-enthused I had pretty much lost my right hand dexterity which made it hard to play bluegrass with any speed but I can still clawhammer OK. So I do. Clawhammer!

44 years here Jim. Sometimes it feels like I haven't learned anything new for 42 years,
but it's sure a lot of fun most times. BTW, see you around New Years!

Reminds of a fiddle playing friend. When we were out in public playing and someone would ask him how long he has been playing, my friend would typically answer, "About 20 minutes." I now catch myself doing the same.
