Had a trip out to Stowmarket today, sat under the trees lunchtime and played/sang a few tunes, it was great to see people smiling as they passed. The chap collecting the trolleys even did a little dance. I really like doing this, it made my day!!!

I thought about taking my banjo out with me into the local woods. I have never played outside before. I hope I sound better outside than I do inside.

Hi Kester, It's different and worth doing, if you go to a town and play it's surprising how loud other sounds are. The woods will be ok, I visited a place called the ' Musem of East Anglian Life' today and strummed in their woods, It was ok, you could hear the banjo as it was nice and quite. Good luck!

I am anxiously awaiting cooler weather here in the deep South (USA), so I can gather a friend or two and pick in the shade of a tree. Although it is in the low 90s right now, the humidity is very high. The present comfort level is miserable.

Hi Ken, We just had Bev's sister and husband over here for their hols, they live in Richberg SC, and have similar weather as you, they thought it was cold here on a few days but enjoyed the break from the heat. We visited Richberg/Charlotte around December time a few years back, the weather there in December was like our British summers!

Glad you could come over for a spell; that is very nice country in the Carolinas!
