Ok I lied in my last video...I said I was gonna lay off and not learn anymore songs for a bit and just work on making the ones I have just learned better...but I couldnt resist...now I am after Ralph Stanleys "Clinch Mountain Backstep" this Iverson tab of this song is really cool.
Yesterday I tuned to sawmill tuning and clamped to the second fret. After I capoed...I had to adjust my tuning a bit and the string broke so I had to change my strings. Considering a few hours of practice a day ( one in the morning and one in the evening, not counting weekends ) I would say the strings lasted a good while I guess. Its mid August and I got the banjo on the 17th of June.
By the way...I have started saving money for my goodtime fretless which I want to purchase around christmas. I think with my fretless I will put on a different bridge, a fiberskyn head and even some planetary tuners for something different...I want to experiement with it so that it will have a completely diff sound than my Crow.

If you don't change anything, your fretless will probably have a different sound. Change of as little as one string might make it yours! Love those maple necks!
