I am starting to slowly get used to this pick. Its a little brass job that wraps around the middle finger, at first it felt kinda "lopey" but actually now I think it kinda balances out the volume between the 5th and the melody strings...I feel it gives me a bit more fuller sound and helps a little on accuracy.
The only thing I didnt like...It leaves a black stain from where I "rap" on the head with it. I mean...I dont really care if the head gets dirty..gives my banjo character..makes it look kinda old...which is cool, but it kinda looks weird also... dunno...oh well :)
When I get my fretless...I am thinking I better scoop it..I dont want it to eat and chip away at the neck when I am frailing.
Next song....in "Open C tuning" Angelina the Baker..... (NOTE: Correction...next song will be "Cluck Old Hen" I am gonna hold off on Angelina for a while.. :)

found in listening to unreleased field interviews with old black banjoists like Rufus Kasey that they used banjo thimbles until they couldnt get them any more in music stores

Yes, I bought two and have used them and they are quite good for playing. Surprisingly I find they were good on my lighter non tone ring banjo, a kevin enoch tradesman.
I dont know I feel a bid worried that I am finally doing something SS Stewart approve
