Well, after playing Banjo for about 7 months I am finally seeing the "Big Picture"; There is so much material available that it is hard to know how to learn in an orderly way. Now though I see that learning the proper rolls so that they become automatic is the most important thing. I am also amazed at the positive responses at my weekly jam session when I take a break, since all I am doing is playing my rolls within the chord sequence and throwing in a few licks here and there! Of course I would like to be playing the melody while taking breaks but that is something for me to learn in the future. All in  all though I love playing the banjo and I even enjoy practicing!

I read your review and thought I'd pop over here. I'm thinking about buying an RK20 from the HUT.. Are you still happy with everything? I've been looking at the cripple creek R from Janet Davis, but it comes with nothing else. For the same price, I can get the RK20 and all the goodies, and it's so much prettier. So I'm just wondering what you think. Thanks, K.

Well,as I said I've played the Goldtone CC-R and my RK20 blows it away; I've had 3 top notch banjo gurus play my RK-20 and they all agree that for the money and for such a light-weight banjo it has great volume and lots of bark. It's not a Gibson but it this price range you can't beat it!

  Good luck HoosierGal!
