Ok so I've just finished off a bottle of Pinot Grigio ( and I can still spell it!) , looked at my old videos and decided I've played them all too fast,
note to myself ......slow down old man !!

Playing too fast is a problem. You lose the rhythm and rhythm is important to the feel of a tune. Once you know what the problem is it should be easy to correct. Then the playing becomes better.

Hi Tony, yes, I know I'm going too fast while I play it too, .. must be a state of mind ..I'm going to try lead weights on my fingers to fix it !! Ha Ha!

Hi Kester, I slowed down after a bottle of wine, but then found I couldn't sing, oh dear!, ... my lady has said all along I'm playing tunes too fast, and tonight I realised what she was saying, I suppose it's all a learning process we all go through, ... Bill

Wine, it has been a long time since I have drunk any. A cool Carlsberg is nice but beer makes my throat sore. But yes, it is all a part of the learning process when you play too fast. I play too fast very often but I am still learning.

hi bill
my wifes grandparents,( grandpa played the guitar, gram played the fiddle) loved playing whenever company would come over. they were beautiful people. i would pick along with them, but could never keep up to their speed. all that time, i thought, geeze, im playing so slow! here i came to find out....the first one finished, would win! get a metro, itll help you bill.
