Looking to form Acoustic Duo - Richmond/Fredericksburg, VA

Posted by sixwatergrog on Thursday, August 4, 2011

Looking to form an acoustic duo in the Richmond, VA area. (I'm in Ashland, VA).  Irish jigs & polkas, oldtime fiddle tunes, bluegrass instrumentals, country rags.

Intermediate player committed to practicing.  Available weeknights and weekends.  Interested in possibly performing at coffee shops, farmers markets, busking, contra dances, volunteering at retirement homes.  Interests outside playing music include hiking, VA Wines and Irish stouts!

Possible repertoire to include tunes like Arkansas Traveler, Ballydesmond Polka, Blackberry Blossom, Boys of Bluehill, Cock of the North, Farewell to Whisky, Flowers of Edinburgh, Geese in the Bog, Girl I Left Behind Me, John Ryan's Polka, June Apple, Kesh Jig, Kitchen Girl, Liberty, Merry Blacksmith, Mississippi Sawyer, My Darling Asleep, Over the Waterfall, Pig Ankle Rag, Rakes of Mallow, Red Haired Boy, Road to Lisdoonvarna, Soldier’s Joy, Staten Island Hornpipe, Stone's Rag, Swallowtail Jig and Whiskey Before Breakfast.

cheers,

Lanny
