Thanks Ken E. for sharing your experience with us. I too got this bogus message about buying a banjo for a gift and was now at sea and could not pay other than PayPal, etc, etc, etc.
I was a bit nervous, but did send the invoice. PayPal states he cannot hurt us by just sending him an invoice, but we should not respond in any other way to him. There are some real ass wipes in this world today. I feel a bit stupid, but like Ken, wanted to share the word with anyone that may be getting messages from this thief.

Ive been getting emails like these too.I was thinking about sending him my paypal info but found your blog and am glad I did. His whole line seemed suspicious to me so I started searching him out on the The Hangout and found out to stay away from this sea going hussler.

Yeah, we have to help each other when we can. Not many of these bottom feeders on this site, but I guess there are a few.
