All banjo players are always chasing "that sound & tone", me included. I contacted my good friend,Dave Hedrick(my first banjo teacher many yrs. ago)expressing this to him.Anyone that knows Dave doesn't doubt his great knowledge of how a flathead mastertone should sound. He told that he would help me . Last nite he changed out my tone ring with one of steve huber's vintage rings. With his setup of the Huber ring i have found the sound i've been looking for. Huber's tone, depth any where up & down the neck was amazing. I would recommend to anyone looking for "that sound" see Steve. tThe best i've heard.

Could you post a sound sample? Also, I hope you're in the "Hoosier Pickers" group. If not, it would be great to have you there.

I'd love to hear you all. Can you let me know when you all are playing a show? And congrats on the Huber ring. I dream of a Huber Roanoke with the tone ring upgrade.
