Over the weekend, I had a chance to break out the banjo for some friends and family at a BBQ.
Now, since I haven't been playing banjo for very long, my repertoire is limited to a few songs I put together from guitar tunes I knew. Just strumming though them.
After the initial nervousness, I put away the banjo for the guitar, and sang a couple more songs.
I haven't played or sang for any of them in years, so being the solo act with your family and friends, is still a little stressful.
My sister came in and sang with me for awhile, so that was helpful.
Pick on!

Once you get through the nerves it is just a great feeling.
