I'm making good headway on my new banjo neck, I really want to play it and also I have other projects and jobs that are pressing, so I need to get this one finished!
Since I last posted, I've finished shaping and sanding. I glued on the fingerboard, finished that and fretted it...and begun finishing the neck.
I did a base coat with tinted french polish, and then sprayed some darker color coats on. I tried to match the original neck's finish as close as I could. It's looking good! Now it's all ready for some clear coats, and then it'll need a while to cure up before I can rub it out and put it all together! Then all I'll need to do is set her up.
Please, take a look at my photos, I've uploaded a few and I have more if anyone wants to see.
