Spring,Isn't It Beautiful?

Posted by blamethebanjo on Wednesday, May 2, 2007

Every year around Easter a feeling wells up in me that doesn't seem to be as strong any other time of the year. Here in Michigan where I am this year we had a large cover of snow on Easter day but during the last couple of weeks the landscape has started to awake.

As you look out over the rolling hills a hint of green is adding color to the picture and heralds another new beginning full of hope and mystery. The thousands of cherry trees seem excited to unveil the beautiful blooms inside the millions of new buds.

Soon the hills will be white again as the trees bloom and no doubt will remind us of the snow that reluctantly moved on not so long ago.How fortunate we are to witness this time and time again.Believing in the winter that spring will surely come takes faith. We have no doubt it will come.We have faith that it will.

Each of us will witness the miracles of God and nature a set amount of times before like the snow, we will make way for other life to take it's turn here to live among the many wonders of this Earth. As a very small part of the scheme it seems unthinkable to fail to give thanks to our Lord for his work that surrounds us every day.Who has ever painted a masterpiece as lovely or complex? There is no artist who comes close.I plan to meet him someday. What makes me think I might? Faith.

Darrell, I was having your  same thought on my drive home from work today. Its spring, and I feel like i'm seeing things for the first time. Iv been up and down the coast so much this year, I've seen spring 3 times this year, its like God telling me to REALLY take a look, I am, and I'm very thankful. God Bless

Spring time reflects the resurrection of our Lord. Things are dead and then they just burst forth with life. I too plan to meet him some day. I have been in revival for the last 4 days and man it was good. We do fail to thank God enough I think. We could thank him all we want and it would never be enough...but he still loves us. I wished I could understand a love like that. Have a great day!!!

I wish I was there to go with you! That revival sounds good to me, I need it!  The older I get the more anxious I get to see him.

The death of winter leads to the life of spring.
