I went to the orthopedic doctor today for a follow up and ge said the bone is where it should be. He removed my partial cast today and put my arm in a much more comfortable fracture cast, though getting my arm into was quite painful. The doc said I will be able to return to work on the April 1st...so it looks like another 6 weeks with no pickin. :(

If it's the left hand - practice your rolls with a metronome. If its your right, practice your chording. In six weeks, you will have the new life of spring and a revitalized ability to pick. Maybe take a banjocation to re-cement the bond between you and your banjo when you are better.

Good advice from Baltimonkey, he must be from a banjo savvy town ;)
I never get bored trying to work on my left hand, because there's so much that I can improve upon with my pinky. I'll sit for hours sometimes watching games and shifting my left hand around trying to make sure my pinky lands where it's supposed to. Often times I'm not doing anything with the right.
If it's your left arm that's hurt then definitely work on smoothing out some roll patterns with the right hand. I don't think there's anything harder than trying to get a solid reverse roll going consistently with the right hand. No left hand neccessary.
If it's all painful, then keep your interest up by posting stuff on good ol BHO. It won't be too long before your back and playing out of tune with the rest of us ;)

Pain is only poor timing leaving the body. Just kidding, make sure you are feeling up to it and I hope you feel better soon, John.
Banjov1 - I think the whole Maryland, DC, Virginia corridor has more banjo than most folks realize. Lot's of great pickers. Personally, I am more of a grinner - but I sure try to keep up with the hot ones.
