The inlay work, very basic dots and a star, is completed on another maple neck. Sanding is not anything that I enjoy in the creative process but, ugh, needs to be done. I plan to mount this on a block rim I turned on my brother's lathe. The rim, with a brass tone ring, was a true experiment and I hope the end product has an acceptably mellow plunk to it.
I've been collecting some stuff for a long neck but have had semi- luck finding ebony sufficiently long for the fretboard. It might wind up without one. Wonder how that would go with a 12" pot.
