First Kairos at WCC Keep us in your prayers

Posted by stevengaub on Wednesday, January 19, 2011

I will be leading the music. This is the first Kairos at WCC Shelton. We expect 36 inmates. I hope to play 75 to 100 songs in the 3 days. Wonderful rhythm guitar player and professional lead guitar player. We have had 4 team meetings to get together and all is going well. The rhythm player backs me in a small Episcopal church 2 times a month. We will sing of God's love and forgiveness. Please pray for the inmates and the team.

Hi Steven, It has been several years since I served on a KAIROS team here in AL, but I have fond memories of being involved with the music. My wife and I both have served at men's and women's prisons and found it to be very rewarding. You, your team and the residents will be in my prayers. I know that you will have a fine week-end inside.

Thank you. I will make a poster letting the inmates know that a banjo friend in AL. will be praying for them.

Steven, you can solicit posters, etc. from other prisons through KAIROS. We used to receive them frequently and they can serve as an inspirational tool. The prisons we worked in were Fountain CC in Atmore, AL and Julia Tutwiler (max security for women) in Wetumpka, AL.

Thanks. It is interesting to know the prisons at which you have served on teams.
