Some unexpected difficulties in my life...

Posted by kc8tby on Monday, January 17, 2011

Well, suffice it to say that this new year has brought some very unexpected challanges and difficulties into my life as well as into the lives of my immediate family members.  Without getting into too many personal details let me just say that this is the most difficult time I have ever encountered in my life.

Could I ask a favor from the many friends that I have made here at the BHO? (And there are many of you I am proud to call my friends!)  Please send some prayers my way and, if you are not the praying kind, well please send some "positive" thoughts my way so that I can gather the needed strength and courage to make it through this most difficult time.

Thank you.

Yes, I will pray for you. It is the least and the greatest thing anyone can do.

Perhaps this simple little poem is overworked, but I still think of it in my times of trial. Brad

Footprints

One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
"I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.
"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Thom: I do not know you, however I do know the desperation of hard times, so for what it is worth we will pray for you and please keep your faith, it may sound liek a cliche, but our good lord will not give ytou more than you can handle and the reasons for your hardship may not be apparent now, or are the answers you seek. God may never reveal that to you, however you will come out better on the other side.
Take Care
Dave

Let me just say how very appreciative I am to each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers.
That poem: "Footprints in the Sand", really made quite an impression on me. Thank you, Brad!
Dave, all though right now I seem as though my whole world is collapsing around me, I know that, indeed, you are right. The good Lord would never give me anything greater than He knows I can handle. Thank you for that inspirational thought Dave. Believe me when I tell you that it truly is something that I have taken to heart.
Thank you all once again. You are all such a fantastic group of people!
God bless you all.
