Has anyone ever constructed a banjo bridge from materials other than wood? I am wondering if for instance, a metal, say aluminum, could be used and what the result would sound like? Other possibilities, other metals, ceramics, glass, bone, etc. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these materials being used for this purpose?
