Hey Vic. It may just be the height of the stage. Try lowering it to about a foot high. I have found that helps. :) Ron

I am no doctor, and I still have a bit of nervousness on a big stage, but my 2-cents: Know your music, except the fact that you will make mistakes, believe that most folks do not care if you make a mistake, understand that it is all a part of the growth of your playing, and the fun of playing. And know that each time you perform in front of people you will get more comfortable. Brad

I had feind in Wheeling Wva tell me on my first venture on stage that as soon as I finished singing they was going to take me out back and shoot me . Iv'e never looked back since no matter how big the crowd. The hardest preforming you'll have to do is in front of your own family after thatyouv'e got it licked. Sing and play your heart out . Do your best thats you could ask

thank you all for your comments re: stage fright ... i feel that i have to take one small step at a time and not have jumped into the deep end of the pool and drowned like i did ... maybe play for one person at a time ... and before attempting what i stupidly i did ... at least be able to play in front of my teacher
i think i need to limit the really tearfully bad experiences otherwise i might get even worse ... any references one knows abt this subject i am interested in reading
