and the support, mike and craig. with so many and such a variety of people on this site, i don't know how friendly i will or won't become. but that doesn't mean i don't appreciate the outreach. again, thank you.
i decided i wanted a spot on this site for a) easy access to banjo info of all kinds and b) a central location for my banjo musings, mussings and madness. and speaking of madness...
last nite, i stopped at a discount store and got an $8 mike for my desktop PC. i am amazed at how well it recorded! i'm hoping to keep something of an audio record of my playing so that on those days when something is about to fly thru one of my (landlords' really) picture windows - like a cat, a banjo, or myself - i'll hopefully first come here and read, vent, ask, beg, listen and/or remember how i "used" to sound.
on top of that, being a naturally born (and doubtful-to-be-ever-cured) ham, knowing that someone might see or hear my stuff makes a little more exciting for me.
that's it for now. i'm hoping to record and/or upload a file later this evening. think i'll make sure a cat or two is handy when i do.
