I guess you've figured out I'm not big into the blogging business, but here's to the end of this year and the start of 2011 in a couple of weeks.
I've been busier with singing and bagpipes than with banjo, but I hope to get a better balance of all three going in the new year.
Looking back at the year, it had its ups and downs, certainly. My brother Bill passed unexpectedly away two days before his 62nd birthday Thanksgiving weekend. Playing for his funeral service was difficult, but I'm glad I could do it.
My voice and technique is still improving and growing, but thebid news is that my physique is going the other (more healthy) way- I'm down 50 Lbs since Oct 2009 and stlll losing. The bad(?) news is that I'll have to buy somem clothes becuase everything I own is now wayyy too big.
I wish all my BHO friends a happy and holy Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too Bob. Sorry to read about your loss, life can be a cruel thing. Let's hope Christmas' delights don't put your pounds back on ;-)
Got any tips?, I could do with loosing about 40 lbs myself! lol. I'm off to Belize soon though for a few months so the weather there should help that!
I wish you and your family all the very best for Christmas and the New year!
Take care.

You'll still be able to wear your kilt I hope in spite of the fantastic weight loss. Merry Christmas

What a slacker I am- Thanks for the comments, though weeks late on my part.
Is it too late to wish Vanbanjoboy a "Belize Navidad"?.
Re: the weight: I'm still working on that- at 48 lbs. Tips? Eat less and be more physically active. For me it's swimming: 9.5 miles this week, 11 for the year 2011 so far.
Jane, I've already taken in my kilts a few inches, will be doing it again this Spring. I think I get get through Burns' Night without further alterations...
