My banjo partner Peter and I are now building our own necks. We are currently making a curly maple double cut headstock neck for Ian Dalton that wants a straight cut heel for a bluegrass openback. We ordered an ebony board with Bella Voce inlays. It works out quicker and cheaper for the customer that way. We are profiling the neck very much like Arthur Hatfield built us for our first models. Thank you to Arthur for making us perfect necks and giving us a bench mark to work to. Peter has the job of shaping the necks which is very important so the neck fits in your hand perfectly and I have the job of flange cuts, radius the heel for perfect fitting to the rims and fretting. Once all is perfect Peter does the finishing which is just perfect. Peters spray skills are awesome. After being in the car trade for almost 30yrs I think he could paint anything. We are now at a stage we feel we can create anything and repair any fault you can throw at us. We love what we do and look forward to helping many people build their dream banjos in the years to come. If you can dream it, or draw it, we want to help create it.
