I enlisted in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman in April of 1973. When I left active duty in 1977, I never thought I'd be in uniform again. After college a friend persuaded me to join the Air National Guard as a "Weekend Warrior". Within 2 years I was working fulltime in a dual Federal Civil Service/Military job and instead of being a Navy Petty Officer, I was an Air Force Sergeant. So after all these years I'm hanging up the uniform and getting ready to explore retirement. I can tell you that I never loved the military--I'm a lover, not a fighter. As a middle kid I always have thought that every one should get along. However, I've always been a military medic; and I always thought if people are dumb enough to get shot, someone has to be dumb enough to fix them....that choice I do NOT regret.
I'll be busy: playing in 2 bands, building a guitar, house projects, hunting and fishing, practice/practice/practice, travelling a bit with Tom Nechville, jamming with friends, recording about 200 songs I've written since I was 12.....yup...I'll be busy. P.S. I'm smiling like the Cheshire Cat.

Sounds great Tedd! I'm hoping I'll see you soon at the Winter Bluegrass Weekend festival. Maybe then you ban show some of your songs. God bless.

I intend to enjoy some of those minutes with you, Al, at Wintergrass in Feb. Then back home to the Minnesota Winter Weekend to see you, David. I want to hear you pick that new Orion.
