Some old photos

Posted by ZEPP on Thursday, November 2, 2006

We finally gotten around to entering the 20th Century here at ZEPP Country Music, and now have a scanner.  I had found some old photos at home and brought some in this morning and have stuck them on this site.

There are several of a couple of bands I played in in Ithaca in the late '70s (all right, they're all the same people, but the band changed character and name when folks left), and just a couple of shots of me that I thought were kinda cool.

My earlier digitized photos were simply photos of prints, which works all right, but causes some parallax problems.  I guess I really need to go through the 6.34 million prints I have representing my family back into the early 20th Century, and scan all of them.  Unfortunately, that could be a full time job, and I already have at least one of those...

Hello Zepp,

Love your avatar. Also enjoyed your vintage pix. By chance, this photo (probably around 1973) and promo flyer came by email from Brian Hill today.  I think I am about 22 in this photo and that is the same Gibson RB250 that I still play today.  Can you believe that we were ever this young and skinny?

Best wishes,

Mary Z. Cox

Wow, most cool, Mary!  Were you playing 3-finger at the time?  Other than hair color, you don't seem to have changed much...
