Well I am finely home at last. I got home Friday afternoon late, and ran into other problems as far as getting to my Condo. We live on the second floor and I thought having 2 guy's help me I could use the crutches to make it. Well I never realized just how weak I really was until that moment. We wound up having to buy a wheel chair and then my 2 friends actually picked that up with me in it and got me to my place. I will be inside for the next 2 weeks, because there is no way to get back down. Thats OK because now I can practice practice and practice some more on the banjo.
Once I made it inside our home I realized how swollen my leg had gotten, and raised it up it right away. That first night I was horrible with pain, but sense then it has gotten better. So now I can start work as much as possible on the basics and my hope is to gain a solid stroke as I have seen in others, and then move on to the music. My friend Wood Chuck has many songs that I got from his site, so I won't run out of stuff to practice on. I also have the ability to hear music and then play it, I don't think this is an inherited thing, but my Dad and Mom had the same thing, and Dad playing in the Band for so long was able to hear the song and then play right away. For me I might have to listen a couple of times but then am able to do the same thing. On the Banjo years ago I was able to listen to certain songs find the key it was in and then pluck it out until I had found the needed notes and finely play the song.
