I'm starting to get excited to get out of town for a couple of days next weekend. My band, Ballhog!, will leave Nashville around noon on Thursday and head to the Corner Lounge near Knoxville for an 8 p.m. show that night. I'm pretty sure The Daily Times in Maryville will have a write-up on us for the show. From there we may leave that night and head to Asheville, N.C., in advance of our show the next night at the Town Pump in Black Mountain at 9:30 on April 20. If it's too late I'm sure we will stay in Knoxville somewhere or camp if it's nice weather.
If you haven't seen the band you can check us out at myspace.com/ballhog. I have selfishly put up a couple of the songs I sing on this site as well. It should be a good time all around although we will be missing two of our eight members (Dobro and one of the horn players) but with six of us up there I'm sure you'll get the idea.
I love to travel and see good friends who live out of town and play music so all of the elements are in place.
